With the onset of the New Year holidays, each of us thinks about the Christmas tree. You can buy a green beauty and bring it into your home and dress it up. Or you can do it yourself. In the latter case, there are many options for a flight of fancy: the tree can be paper, wire, made of rain or sewn from fabric. We offer you another very unusual version of the New Year tree - this is a floating tree made of balls. It’s not that difficult to make, but it will amaze the guests and be remembered for a long time. After the holiday, it can be easily disassembled and stored until next year.

Let's see what we need to make such an original New Year's miracle. Required materials and tools:
round grate (an old grill grate will do);

When everything you need has been found, you can get to work. We start with the base; to do this, we securely fasten the wire in several places on the lattice so that small loops are formed. It is imperative to ensure that the wire fastenings are symmetrical, otherwise the grille will tilt. We divide the chain into 4 equal parts and attach it to the wire using carabiners. We fasten the free ends of the chains together at one point and also attach them to the carabiner.

Now that our base is ready, we cut the fishing line for hanging the balls into pieces. It is better to make several types of blanks from fishing line of different lengths. We make loops at the ends of the fishing line that can be securely fastened with clamps. Then we hang the balls on a fishing line on the grill using hooks. If you don't have any hooks, you can use unfolded paper clips.

In order for the composition of balloons to turn out beautiful and harmonious, do not hang the balloons randomly. Experiment and choose a pattern according to which you want to hang the balls.

That's all, our original hanging Christmas tree is ready. For it, you can use either identical balls of the same color or Christmas tree decorations that are completely different in color and shape. If you want to use different Christmas tree decorations, then it is advisable that there are only 2-3 different types. Such an interesting composition can not only replace a natural winter guest, but also become an addition to it. Materials and tools:

1. Christmas balls. The number of balls is determined based on the size of the tree you are going to create. The diameter of the balls also depends on the expected dimensions of the tree. From small balls you can make a compact Christmas tree that can be placed on a table, and from large balls it is best to create large Christmas trees. It is best to use balls without metal caps, i.e. with fastening in the form of loops.
2. Fishing line. The diameter of the fishing line depends on the mass of the balls used.
3. Scissors.
4. Pliers or round nose pliers.
5. A decorative chain that can support the weight of the Christmas tree being created.
6. Metal grill, which can be purchased at a hardware store.
6. Carbine for hanging our Christmas tree.

Step 1. We make four equal sections from a decorative chain and, using pliers or round nose pliers, create a suspension that will hold the lattice on the hook.

Step 2. We create markings in accordance with which the tiers of our Christmas tree will be hung. The outer diameter of the largest circle of the marking must correspond to the outer radius of the metal grating.

Step 3. Measuring the required length of fishing line, we begin to hang the Christmas tree balls. Hanging is done from the top of our Christmas tree. When moving to the next circle of our marking, we consistently increase the length of the fishing line. To begin this procedure, you need to hang the grille using a carabiner on a temporary hook. The work ahead will be painstaking, but interesting.

Balloons can be used not only green, but also silver or transparent. It all depends on your imagination.

The last step is to choose a place where you can hang the Floating Christmas Tree.

Today we will make an amazing Christmas tree: it floats in the air and looks extremely stylish and unusual.

This is a great option for decorating an office or apartment in a high-tech style.

You will need:

1. Round grid stand with a diameter of 42.5 cm (you can buy it at a restaurant equipment and supplies store).

2. Light chain, designed for hanging lamps and other decorative purposes - 152.4 cm.

3. Small carabiner.

4. 100 hooks.

5. 1 skein of monofilament thread for jewelry (not stretchy) - 15 m.

6. 200 jewelry crimp beads.

7. Crimper for crimping.

8. 100 straps with hooks.

9. 100 Christmas balls.

10. Needle nose pliers.

Progress:

1. Prepare the base: take a grid stand.

Turn it over and remove the legs.

Now, using needle-nose pliers, we attach the chains to the protrusions from the legs.

We connect the chains and hang them from the carabiner.

2. Now let’s calculate the length of the threads for hanging the balls.

In the master class, balls with a diameter of 5 cm and 7.5 cm were used. The distance between such balls should be about 3.75 cm.

To accurately calculate the number of long, medium and short threads, you can use the following diagram:

The length of the thread in the center is 13.75 cm.

Circle 1: 18.1 cm, one - 22.5, two - 26.88 cm, three - 31.25;

Circle 2: two - 35.6 cm, two - 40 cm, three - 44.38 cm, four - 48.75 cm;

Circle 3: three - 53.1 cm, three - 57.5 cm, four 61.88 cm, five - 66.25 cm;

Circle 4: four - 70.63 cm, four - 75 cm, five - 79.38 cm, six - 83.75 cm;

Circle 5: five - 88.13 cm, five - 92.5 cm, six - 96.88 cm, seven - 101.25 cm;

Circle 6: six - 105.63 cm, six - 110 cm, seven - 114.38 cm, eight - 118.75 cm.

The design should resemble a tall, narrow wedding cake (multi-tiered).

3. Place the hooks at the required distance from each other.

4. Now we cut pieces of monofilament to the required length, make loops and secure them with crimp beads.

Note: Keep pieces of monofilament separate from each other to prevent them from getting tangled. Finished sections with fastenings can be hung on a cornice by attaching a ball to the lower end of the section.

5. Hang the balls (starting from the central ones).

There you go!

Method 1. To make a Christmas tree I will need: a base in the shape of a cone, which can be made from cardboard, thick paper, tinsel, unbreakable Christmas balls, various decorations (tinsel, beads, serpentine), glue, scissors, top.

We take the cone, put it on the table, I remove the tips from the New Year's balls, smear the tip of the toy with glue and glue it at the bottom in a circle of the cone, gluing it to the very top. I decorate the top of the tree with the crown, and decorate it beautifully with tinsel or other decorations near the balls.

To make the tray more fluffy, you can glue other balls to the balls using glue.

Method 2. For the second method, I needed a stand for the base (it could be a metal coil), a bow base (I took a long pencil, or a knitting needle), New Year's toys, and a top.

I insert the pencil into the spool, if the spool is very large, then I wrapped the bottom of the pencil with ribbon and secured it with tape, the trunk of the future Christmas tree can be painted or wrapped in tinsel, I string New Year’s toys onto the pencil one by one, or screw them with wire, and I insert the top of the pencil onto the top of the pencil.

The tree can be beautifully decorated with tinsel.

Perhaps this is the most “feminine” of the master classes dedicated to making a New Year tree. You don't need any construction tools at all - just a set that is in the arsenal of any self-respecting seamstress. Step 1. Decide on sizes
First, you have to figure out the size and required number of Christmas tree balls. To do this, simply lay them out on the floor or table.
I initially decided that I wanted a tree 120 cm high (not counting 20 cm to the base) and with a space of 20 cm between each row. At the same time, in order to get a fairly elegant shape, I took a hoop of not very large circumference (30 cm), which became the maximum diameter.
Next, I settled on six circles, and on each of them the number of balls increased by two. In the end, I needed 49 balls, including the central one: the result was a tree of medium height and not very dense - definitely, it’s worth experimenting and deciding which sizes are best suited in your room.


Step 2: Prepare the base
As a base to which the airy tree is attached, I used fabric stretched tightly between hoops - this method is the most visual and economical. You can, however, find other options - a metal barbecue grate, a flat sieve without a handle, or something else of a suitable size.
If you follow my path, try to find the most elegant and, moreover, dense fabric.
After pulling it as tight as possible, find the center of the circle and mark the planned number of circles using a compass. Keep in mind that when the base is hung, the marks should face the ceiling and therefore be on the back of the stretched fabric.


Step 3. Determine the design of the future Christmas tree
Several options are possible.
Christmas tree "levels". In this case, each new row of balls is hung exactly, at a certain distance from the previous one.
Christmas tree in a spiral. Here, inside each row there is an indentation between the balls, and they are hung sequentially in a circle.
Christmas tree classic- as similar in shape as possible to the real one, where the balls are at different heights.


I hung the balls on loops, cutting twice as much fishing line and folding it in half, due to which for each hanging ball I had only one knot - on top in the base, which made the tree neater (there is no fishing line sticking out anywhere), and the work was easier ( knitting extra knots from almost transparent dense thread is an activity only for the most patient).

To speed up the process of measuring fishing line, you can assemble a simple device from an office clamp attached to the surface and a soft meter.

After attaching the ball to the fishing line, thread its second tip through the needle and pass it through the base fabric. Now put a bead on it and tie a knot.
Firstly, a thin knot made from fishing line alone can easily fall out of fabric that is not thick enough, such as linen, as in my case.
Secondly, it will be much easier to make changes to an already assembled tree. Surely, when you finish, you will want to tighten or change something. With beads, you don’t have to search for the right ball blindly.

Advice: It is best to immediately assemble the tree in the place where it will hang, and not carry it ready, so that the fishing lines do not get tangled (and they do this quickly and mercilessly). So this version of the Christmas tree is not suitable for rooms with curious animals or children; it cannot be mounted near the balcony door. If possible, pin the base in place once you have stretched the fabric over the hoop (step 2).
